Re: Personal Insults (real man, small penis, etc.)
"Shut up and take it like a man." (Translation: men are not allowed to complain about problems and try to work them out diplomatically. We just have to take whatever we are dished out. Only women are allowed to complain, and whatever they say must be accepted.)
"He's good to her." (This is spoken by women of their friend's husband or boyfriend. I find this offensive as it is usually said as if women find this to be odd or unexpected. Their assumption is that most men are bad and that their friend has found a rarity. Thus, this is a backhanded compliment: Women are praising one man directly and insulting the rest of us indirectly. Does anyone ever hear men or women say of a man's wife or girlfriend, "She's good to him"? The assumption is that if a man is good to a woman, it's a rare thing, and if a woman is bad to a man, it's a rare thing too.
A man who doesn’t want to take care of his kid is called a deadbeat dad; a woman who doesn’t want to take care of her kid is called pro-choice.
