The proposed "solutions" to scientifically fading man-made global warming fears are set to alter American lifestyles and sovereignty in ways never before contemplated.

MIT climate scientist Dr. Richard Lindzen has warned: "'He who controls carbon controls life. It is a bureaucrat's dream to control carbon dioxide." Washington, D.C., and the U.N. are in a field of dreams right now as they envision one of the most massive expansions of controls on human individual freedom ever contemplated by governments.

Leading the charge is none other than former Vice President Al Gore, who declared in July 2009 that the congressional climate bill will help bring about "global governance." U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon also trumpeted the concept in an Oct. 25, 2009, New York Times oped. "A [climate] deal must include an equitable global governance structure," he wrote.

Gore and the U.N.'s call for "global governance" echoes former French President Jacques Chirac's call in 2000. On Nov. 20, 2000, then-President Chirac said during a speech at The Hague that the U.N.'s Kyoto Protocol represented "the first component of an authentic global governance."

Former EU Environment Minister Margot Wallstrom said, "Kyoto is about the economy, about leveling the playing field for big businesses worldwide." Canadian Prime Minster Stephen Harper once dismissed U.N.'s Kyoto Protocol as a "socialist scheme."

In addition, calls for a global carbon tax have been urged at recent U.N. global warming conferences. In December 2007, the U.N. climate conference in Bali urged the adoption of a global carbon tax that would represent "a global burden sharing system, fair, with solidarity, and legally binding to all nations."

The environmental group Friends of the Earth advocated the transfer of money from rich to poor nations during the 2007 U.N. climate conference.

"A climate change response must have at its heart a redistribution of wealth and resources," said Emma Brindal, a climate justice campaigner coordinator for Friends of the Earth.

The Obama administration revealed even more controls in September 2009 when it was announced that the State Department wanted to form a global "Ecological Board of Directors."

But even more chilling than a global regime set up to "solve" global warming is the personal freedoms that are under assault. In September, a top German climate adviser proposed the "creation of a CO2 budget for every person on planet." Hans Joachim Schellnhuber told Der Spiegel that this internationally monitored "CO2 budget" would apply to "every person on the planet, regardless whether they live in Berlin or Beijing."

Czech physicist Dr. Lubos Motl, formerly of Harvard University and a global-warming skeptic, reacted to Schellnhuber's CO2 personal "budget" proposal by citing tyrannical movements of the past. "What Schellnhuber has just said is just breathtaking, and it helps me to understand how crazy political movements such as the Nazis or communists could have so easily taken over a nation that is as sensible as Germany," Motl wrote on Sept. 6, 2009.

The movement to control personal CO2 "budgets" and personal freedoms is growing internationally. In 2008, the U.K. proposed a "personal carbon trading scheme" where "every adult in U.K. should be forced to use 'carbon ration cards.'" According to the Mail article: "Everyone would be given an annual carbon allowance to use when buying oil, gas, electricity and flights – anyone who exceeds their entitlement would have to buy top-up credits from individuals who haven't used up their allowance." The U.K. government would have the authority to impose fines, "monitor employees' emissions, home energy bills, petrol purchases and holiday flights." The London Times reported in September 2009: "Rationing being reintroduced via workplace after an absence of half a century. … Employees would be required to submit quarterly reports detailing their consumption."

Copenhagen has been a disaster for the free world and hardly anyone seems to have noticed.

We have been distracted by the sweet schadenfreude as the event was overshadowed by the Climategate scandal at the beginning, and the Russian bombshell at the end.

And by our delight in seeing the many business interests of the IPCC ’s jet-setting chairman Dr Rajendra Pachauri cruelly exposed.

And by the told-you-so satisfaction of seeing it proved beyond all reasonable doubt that the “scientific” process informing the IPCC’s increasingly hysterical reports is corrupt, fraudulent and politically motivated.

And by the irony of the snow beginning to fall on a conference whose ostensible purpose was to prevent global warming.

And by the sheer messy incompetence of the whole affair, with its riots, shambolic organisation and brutality whose victims including Lord Monckton.

But if we think the events of the last fortnight marked a triumph for commonsense over hair shirt green lunacy, we are sadly deluding ourselves. Copenhagen was never about winning or losing a scientific argument. And it wasn’t, as even green campaigners have begun belatedly to realise, about “saving” the environment either.
Here is that Obergruppenfuhrer among eco-freaks Bill McKibben at Mother Jones:

This afternoon at Copenhagen a document mysteriously leaked from the UN Secretariat. It was first reported from the Guardian, and by the time it was posted online it oddly had my name scrawled all across the top—I don’t know why, because I didn’t leak it.

My suspicion, though, is because it confirms something I’ve been writing for weeks. The cuts in emissions that countries are proposing here are nowhere near good enough to meet even their remarkably weak target of limiting temperature rise to two degrees Celsius. In fact, says the UN in this leaked report, the cuts on offer now produce a rise of at least three degrees, and a CO2 concentration of at least 550 ppm, not the 350 scientists say we need, or even the weak 450 that the US supposedly supports.

In other words, this entire conference is an elaborate sham, where the organizers have known all along that they’re heading for a very different world than the one they’re supposedly creating. It’s intellectual dishonesty of a very high order, and with very high consequences. And it’s probably come too late to derail the stage management—tomorrow Barack Obama will piously intone that he’s committed to a two degree temperature target. But he isn’t—and now he can’t even say it with a straight face.

Let’s ignore McKibben’s barmy notion that man has it in his power to control global climate by tinkering with CO2 output, and concentrate on that part of his tearful outburst that does make sense. Copenhagen never really had anything to do with “Climate Change”. Rather it was a trough-fest at which all the world’s greediest pigs gathered to gobble up as much of your money and my money as they possibly could, under the righteous-sounding pretence that they were saving the planet.

This nauseating piggery took two forms. First were the Third World kleptocracies – led by the likes of Hugo Chavez and Robert Mugabe – using “Global Warming” as an excuse to extort guilt-money from the Western nations.

Second, and much more dangerous, were the First World Corporatists who stand to make trillions of dollars using the Enron economics of carbon trading. Never mind all the talk of President Obama’s trifling $100 billion pledge. This is very small beer compared with the truly eye-watering sums that will be ransacked from our economies and our wallets over the next decades in the name of “carbon emissions reduction.”

Richard North has spotted this, even if virtually nobody else has. The key point, he notes, is the Copenhagen negotiators’ little-publicised decision to save the Kyoto Protocol. This matters because it was at Kyoto that the mechanisms for establishing a global carbon market were established. Carbon trading could not possibly exist without some form of agreement between all the world’s governments on emissions: the market would simply collapse. By keeping Kyoto alive, the sinister troughers of global corporatism have also kept their cash cow alive.

As North says:

This is nothing to do with the headline billions and all the rest. Nope, the deal is that the Kyoto Protocol is saved – which is what all the fuss was really about. That safeguards the carbon market and opens the way for it to expand to the $2-trillion level by the year 2020. Against that, even €100 billion is chump-change – you can buy countries with that sort of money.

Their deal in place, the kleptocrats and the Corporatocracy can go away happy and plan how to spend all their ill-gotten gains, leaving the leaders to grandstand, make their deals, shake hands and strut through their photo-sessions before jetting off in olumes of “carbon” to be greeted as saviours by their underwhelmed peoples.

PARIS, April 2 (Reuters) - OPEC said oil was not to blame for climate change and consuming countries should pay to fight the threat, while the CEO of Royal Dutch Shell said drivers could help by not buying Hummer sports utility vehicles.

"Oil is not responsible," the producer group's Secretary General, Abdullah al-Badri, told reporters on Thursday on the sidelines of the International Oil Summit in Paris.

"It is the industrialised countries which are making all this pollution in the world".

Scientists say the burning of fossil fuels, such as oil, is a key factor in climate change.

Badri said the revenues from high taxes that some industrialised countries, including most western European nations, place on oil products should be diverted to environmental projects.

OPEC, whose member countries pump more than a third of the world's oil, has supported the United Nations Convention on Climate Change and its Kyoto Protocol, which encourage reductions in emissions of greenhouse gas carbon dioxide (CO2).

However, the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries has also opposed plans to reduce oil consumption and advocated adaptation to climate change.

Global warming is natural, because it is primarily caused by the increased intensity of the sun. This natural process of global warming is not directly caused by humans at all.

The big corporations of the world want all humans to pay a "carbon tax" to create a new source of income in order to finance the Global Government and reinforce monopoly positions of the big corporations.

This reduces the freedom of all humans, and is another form to exploit normal people for the benefit of the big corporations and ultra elite.

The Greens are being mislead to support these "global taxes", because it won't go to nature, but instead rob money form the Greens and all humans via these carbon/global taxes to finance the big corporations, international private banking cartel and world government.

Its just fucking amaseing to me that this is even going on.....

Obama is fucking us ROYALY....And very very few seem to have ANY clue about this...

I have even asked a lot of people I know about this stuff, and they DONT EVEN KNOW that this "carbon tax" is comeing.....Its just friggen amaseing...

The only thing one most peoples mind is "health-care"....Somehow that ONE issue, overshadows any knowlege of ANYTHING else...Includeing the "hate crimes" ledgeslation, the global warming scam, copenhagen, our military budget......I mean WOW....Just WOW!

Eco-tourists travelling to Antarctica are adding to global warming which is melting the polar ice caps, new research has found.

The South Pole has become a popular tourism destination recently with more than 40,000 sight-seers, including 7,000 from Britain, arriving in the area every year. Most travel in cruise ships to view the ice caps and wildlife such as penguins.

But it is feared the influx of "eco-tourists is causing "horrendous" pollution from ship fuel and rubbish, as well as disturbing wildlife in one of the last pristine landscapes left on Earth.

Dutch researcher Machiel Lamers, who was commissioned by the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research to study the environmental impacts of increased tourism in the polar region, said it could even be making global warming worse.

"The visitors to the snow-covered landmass are endangering not just the Antarctic region by their actions, but also the rest of the world," he said.
"The 40,000 'eco-tourists' who visit the South Pole every year cause enormous greenhouse gas emissions.

"Tourism is a boom industry in Antarctica. Where, a mere 20 years or so ago, just a few hundred tourists would set off towards the South Pole, more than 40,000 inquisitive souls journeyed to the southernmost point on Earth last winter."

A two-week Antarctic cruise currently costs from about £3,500.

Mr Lamers said the benefits of Antarctic tourism had to be balanced with the environmental impacts.

"While tourism has many advantages to offer the South Pole, the increasing influx causes horrendous pollution," he said.

"The local environment is under pressure, more and larger ships are going there, tourists are perpetually looking for 'tougher, faster, more' and there's actually no-one to keep this all on the right track.

"The South Pole is managed by an international consortium of countries, but no-one is really in charge on the ground. There is no policy setting out any limits for tourism."

The International Association of Antarctic Tour Operators has imposed stringent bio-safety protocols to keep out seeds and insects and has promised to respect the environment.

However Mr Lamers said there needs to be a binding international treaty that will limit the number of tourists and landings allowed in Antarctica.
Although the Antarctic Treaty has called for limits this involves just 28 nations and needs to be strengthened.

"It is in [the tourist operators] own interests not to have too many tourists coming at the same time, no-one goes to Antarctica to find six other shiploads of tourists there," he said.

"It is time for clear rules; vague agreements are not enough any more."
