I'm going for UKIP.. they're the least dangerous of the competition as far as men go, and my vote to them will ensure my vote is considered 'against' the other parties. I'm really hoping they have a survey sometime asking why people vote with the choices they do... I'll be sure to let them know my thoughts.
The most offensive thing you can do to a feminist is treat her with FULL equality.

I was pestered into voting yesterday and decided to follow the advice of the gent who has researched it here.. I voted liberal because JK says they are the best for men.. I kinda agree, since they seem to be the only party that does not eliminate men from their lists..

Was actually a good move, labour was ousted by the libs in my area!

Re: So.....who are we voting for, today?

I saw this viewed upon in contemplation of the AV (alternative vote), so I thought I'd tack upon it rather than starting a new thread.

The voting system is a charade whereby the people are given a false belief they have an input in proceedings. The 'system' never changes because the government is a money-making corporation that is historically set upon a soulless - pre determined path no matter what brand of politics is in power. It is pure theatre to give the plebs an illusion they have an input in democracy (one could say it's fraud but I'd posit it strips the nation in a need to believe in a positive direction).

When you vote in new MPs you're literally voting in new directors of a company (United Kingdom Corporation - check out Dun and Bradstreet).

Think of voting as deciding upon the merits of various tentacles which ultimately lead back to the same self-serving snapping beast. You can waste a lifetime serving different ideas of what ultimately enslave you, or break free from this indentured position.

A life in politics is a wasted endeavour in a rigged game!

The people, beyond this reality, as within every sphere of history, need an insured stake so as to make their toiled investment make sense.

I think as much as anything rather than sitting around waiting for the state to deliver half-assed promises, why don't we tell them to fuck off by demonstrating most publically (with fliers and public speaking etc) why we're not voting in a rigged game etc. Lets seek degrees of autonomy and attack the state within organized communities.

Re: So.....who are we voting for, today?

As Celtic Druid says, its one big facade - even the famous tory PM Stanley Baldwin said "Whichever party is in office, the conservatives are always in power".

    This leaves me two options:

1/Dont vote - if it gets to the point that say only 15% vote, then a "legitiimacy crisis" sets in for the ruling order. However - ad here's the crunch, our society is so downtrodden, so quashed and demoralised by anti terrorism laws, etc, that there is currently a power vaccum in Britian.

2/Vote in a protest way that sticks two fingers at the "establishment" - perhaps UKIP or Green Party.

I will toss a coin to make my choice - and it will still be a case of "head I lose, tails you win" )-:

OK, with pleasure I will bite your bate.

Becuase anarchy does not work, as beautiful as the concept is?

What anarchy would do is to eliminate the elite - but a new elite would eventually emerge in its place

I would be delighted to hear how we can live without being ruled - its sounds interesting

You equate not wanting to being ruled by any form of an elite as anarchy? C'mon Richard that's lame and so bloody predictable. That posting to Poland has obviously obscured your mental faculties.

Look at your two sentences. It presupposes a 'needy' concept that we need any form of an 'elite' to get by. If anything, I'd say that the common herds would absolutely thrive not just in moral terms but DEBT absolved and not being indentured slaves to an elitist class. To say we would somehow be like uncomprehending children without guidance is the most offensive statement and proof of institutionalization.

Hi, so how would your society work or look like?

Who is the elite, how is it defined?

I am not sure what you mean by "elite" - elite can be people who are professors, doctors, - a "meritocracy" to replace the present elite of aristocracy?

    Republics have elites

Members of Parliament in London are a form of elite. The only way to get rid of this, would be to devolve powers down to regions and councils.

I am happy to converse and walk through the concepts as I am sure many would learn something new on this fourm
